In a dazzling ceremony held at the UPLB University Library, the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) clinched the esteemed CSC HR PRIME Level 2 and an array of awards from the CSC-NCR Regional Office. The event commenced at 7:30 am and was well-attended by key figures in the academic and administrative domains of UPLB.

The morning began on a patriotic note with the Flag Ceremony, followed by a prayer that set a reverent atmosphere. Atty. Aladdin P. Dominguita then took the podium to deliver a heartfelt opening remark, setting the stage for the day’s highlights.

Assoc. Prof. Rolando T. Bello, the Vice Chancellor for Administration, provided attendees with context regarding the significance and prestige of the awards, emphasizing UPLB’s dedication to excellence.

The awarding session was graced by Director Hans R. Alcantara of the CSC UP-NIA Field Office. He not only delivered an inspiring message on the importance of civil service but also presented various awards. 

Ms. Merdelly J. Tabion and Mr. Mark Kevin L. Movillon were recognized as nominees for the CSC NCR Regional Office Pag-asa Award, while Dr. Myla Lourdes Avena and Mr. Conrado Serrano received the coveted Pag-asa Award, signifying their outstanding contribution to the public service.

In a momentous segment, the Corn for Food and Nutrition Team, comprising of Ms. Ayn Kristina M. Beltran, Assoc. Prof. Tonette P. Laude, Assoc. Prof. Clarissa B. Juanico, Ms. Lorna G. Matanguihan, and Mr. Marvin M. Obando were declared the winner of the CSC-NCR Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award in the Group Category. Their collective efforts and outstanding service undoubtedly made UPLB proud.
To memorialize the ceremony, the event concluded with a picture-taking session, capturing the faces behind UPLB’s incredible achievements.

The presence of UPLB’s top brass, including the Chancellor, Vice Chancellors, Directors, Deans, and other staff members, not only highlighted the significance of the awards but also symbolized UPLB’s collective commitment to upholding the highest standards in public service.

The event was not just a celebration of individual and collective achievements, but also a testament to UPLB’s continued dedication to excellence, integrity, and service to the nation.
